About OUT OF SCANDINAVIA

Thanks for your interest in Out of Scandinavia.

We're a Jørgensen family owned and operated business of first generation Danes, in business for about 5 years.   We have deep roots and strong ties to Scandinavia with lots of family still there - in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.  A brother, Kim, is the executive producer of the Oscar-winning movie Out of Africa, his homage to Denmark, and we took the name of this web store from his movie.  

Our mission is to provide the best of Scandinavia to those who love it as we do.  We import most of the products directly from manufacturers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, and we look for high quality designs as well as nostalgic reminders of our shared heritage. 
  
We will be adding many new products and new features over the next few months, like a blog where you can share your ideas, so please come back regularly.
